In 1971 Fujimoto San who was at that time Sandan, went to Italy where he met with Tada Sensei. He lives in Milan where he established Dojo Milano and became Vice Instructor of Aikikai d'Italia. He maintains strong ties with the current Doshu Moriteru Ueshiba and the Aikido World Headquarters (Hombu) in Tokyo.

Fujimoto San teaches Aikido in Milan, and virtually every weekend he holds seminars in other towns and countries.

Every summer he holds the famous 10-day aikido seminar in the picturesque town of Laces, in the wonderful Sud Tirol mountain region of North Italy during July. He also teaches in Yugoslavia, Ireland, Germany, Switzerland, Ireland, Russia and other.

Fujimoto Shihan met Elroy Goliath Sensei in October of 1999, when he visited the Paarl School of Aikido on his first visit to South Africa.
